Hank Smallwood hosted my group of women from Ocean Pines at the Dover Art League a few years ago. He was informative and charming. A fine artist and a good friend. I feel thankful for his life.

My deepest condolences to the family. Hank was such a special, talented man and an inspiration to all who had the good fortune to meet him. There are no words to adequately express the sense of loss for such a great guy. But be assured that the next time you see a stunning rainbow or an extra colorful sunset, it's because Hank is still adding his special vision painting those beautiful skies from his new vantage point. He will be so missed by our art community especially. Again, my deepest sympathies. May all of you and he be blessed with peace.

Hank was an awesome friend.
He was an Officer and a Gentleman to me... funny, confusing yet cherished.
He is missed already! I look forward to living next door to him in Heaven.
