Virginia Meyer

Virginia Meyer, Milford, peacefully passed on April 4, 2023 at home with her family by her side, at the age of 81.  She was the daughter of the late Elias and Arsenia Deleon.

Ms. Meyer divided her time between her family in South Carolina and DE.  She worked at ILC on the Pathfinder Project while in DE, and a seamstress at Craig Industries in SC.

Ms. Meyer enjoyed bingo, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a soft spoken, very loving woman.  Ms. Meyer was a devoted mother to her children, especially to Jonathon who was the apple of her eye.

Ms. Meyer is survived by her children, Roberto Corpuz (Linda), Wilfredo Corpuz (Bennett), Marisa Gray, Steven Meyer Jr. (Crystal), James Meyer, Jonathan Meyer, and Norma Lyn Fields; grandchildren, Jeffereson Corpuz, Jay Corpuz, Vianne Corpuz, Melanie Grove (Steven), William Gray Jr., Amber Meyer, Serenity Meyer, Braelin Meyer, Cristina Nobles, Christopher and Shennelle Gabrielle; great grandchildren, Landon, Emmett, Oliver, Zia, Leon, and Cedrick; siblings, Paulino Mayo, Primitivo Deleon, Rupin Dugay, Pacita Dumantay, Lilia Ballano, and Gloria Zaragoza.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford DE 19963.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE at 11 AM.  A visitation will take place one hour prior, starting at 10 AM.
