Tracy Hanggi

Tracy Hanggi, of Felton, passed away, on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the age of 39.  She was the daughter of Denise Hayward and the late Colin Hayward.

Tracy graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1999, and 4 years later obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wesley College. 

Tracy began working for Price Honda 22 years ago while still in high school.  She started as a greeter before making her way to becoming a service manager.  She was a dedicated employee often working late to make sure things were perfect for the next day.

Tracy was full of life.  Never afraid to try new things like skydiving, swing dancing, traveling to beautiful places, or riding the scariest rides.  Tracy was also able to just sit back and enjoy the company of friends and family.  As a devoted mother and wife, she enjoyed hosting pool parties, lazy days by the pool, working in the yard and planting her succulents.  At night she would put on her “cozy clothes” and cuddle with her boys and their new puppy Bailey.  Tracy expected nothing but the best for her family and was the first one to take on the task of organizing important celebrations.  Her eye for details created fantastic memories when she hosted baby showers, birthdays, and special occasions for others.  As a friend, Tracy was known to be mischievous, she believed it was her duty to be the center of the party and pull others onto the dance floor. Her enthusiasm was contagious. Her love for camping always involved her special group of friends and their families.  They became her extended family and she looked forward to her boys growing up and making memories with them too.  She was a wonderful wife, dedicated mother, and loyal friend.  Tracy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother, Tracy is survived by her loving husband, Kristopher Hanggi; sons, Carter and Noah Hanggi; sister, Gayle L. Simpson, extended and overseas family and many friends.

A walkthrough visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 11am - 1pm at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, DE.  Due to Covid19 restrictions the memorial service is limited in space but open to the public. Mask wearing and social distancing will be required. The memorial service will take place immediately after the walk through at 1:00 pm. Interment will be after the service at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
