Susan L. Thompson-Powell

Susan Thompson-Powell, Harrington, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, she was 64.  Susan was born in Milford to the late, Alvin W. and Nancy C. Thompson.

Susan was a lifelong hair dresser.  She worked for various salons over the years, but mainly out of her home.  She had an extensive clientele and she enjoyed interacting with her customers who she treated like family. 

On the rare occasion that she was not working, Susan enjoyed going to the beach and collecting seashells and sea glass.  Throughout her lifetime, she also enjoyed spending time at Wheeler's Park in Harrington.  Susan made an impact on a lot of people in the community and will be remembered for her sweet heart and caring nature.

She is survived by her sons, Spencer Powell and Chase Thompson-Carter; brothers, Bobby Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Barry Thompson; and a sister, JoAnn Thompson.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at 6 PM.  A public visitation will be held one hour prior starting at 5 PM.
