S. Musetta Cox Hausler passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, she was 91. She was born to the late William and Sara Moore, on January 23 1922.
She was baptized in the Felton United Church and remained a member until her death. She also attended the Burrsville Union Methodist Church. She graduated from Felton School in 1939. Along with her parents she worked as part of the William Moore Insurance Agency. She loved to travel as well as camping and hiking. She has traveled to every state but Alaska and in September 2013, two of her daughters took that trip for her.
She was a member of the Harrington Senior Center, Harrington Red Hatters, Women of the Moose Harrington Chapter 1229 and the Crafty Ladies Knitting Group.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Charles “Ray” Cox, her second husband Karl Hausler, her eldest daughter, Patricia L Rawding, and a brother John E. Moore.
She is survived by three daughters Janet M. Mitchell, Shirley J. Brewington, Barbara L. Boone and a son, Charles W Cox; a brother James W. Moore; and son-in-law, George Rawding Jr. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Dianne (Pete) Rager, Annette (Steve) Guerke, Veronica “Roni” Rawding (Kyle Elborn), Douglas (Dawn) Mitchell, Kelly (Joe) Cantu, Paula (Jack) Mace, and Melissa (Bryan) Clarke and 13 great-grandchildren Eric Rager, Joshua Rager, Tereasa Rose, Keith Rose, Tylor Mitchell, Devan Mitchell, Sarajo Cantu, Devin Hernandez, Bailey Cantu, Joe D. Cantu, Kevin Galyean, Sarah Perry, Ryan Harrington ,Trey Clarke, and Brett Clarke and 3 great-great children. Services will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 2 PM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
