Roger S. Jackson, Dover, passed away on Friday evening, January 22, 2021, at the Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, he was 72. Roger was born in Rahway, NJ to the late, Lucille and Alador Jackson.
Roger worked as an immigration inspector for the Division of Homeland Security. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed living the retirement life. He enjoyed tinkering on small gasoline engines in his workshop. He liked traveling and going on random road trips but especially going to Disney with family. He was more of an outdoor type that enjoyed camping, skiing, fishing, and coaching youth sports like soccer, flag football and baseball. His love of sports included college football, and even watching his grand daughter Mya play lacrosse. Dover Downs was a favorite destination to visit as well.
Roger will be remembered as a simple guy who loved simple things. He enjoyed good Christian fellowship and was known for his generosity to others, always lending a hand to his neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making sure to attend all the school functions that he could. He was thought of as a manly man but in a gentle way, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sons; Brian Jackson, and Matthew Jackson (Heather); brother, William Jackson; and 2 grandchildren, Aubrey and Mya.
