Robert "Bobby" L. Collins

 Robert "Bobby" Collins, left this earth surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, April 10, 2022.  He was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Collins.

 Bobby was raised in Harrington, DE, and attended Harrington High School. He worked for Taylor and Messick for 39 years before retirement. After retirement, Bobby enjoyed watching softball, horseracing and spending time with family and friends. He created many memories during his memberships in the fire department, Ruritan Club, Lions Club and Moose Lodge. 

 In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his son Doug Collins, daughter Becky Brittingham, and brother, Frankie Collins.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Collins, brother Kenneth "Snookie" and Delores Collins, sister Thelma "Sugar Pie" and Paul Gustafson, brother George and Brenda Collins, brother Dickie and Ellen Collins, his brother Bruce and Barbra Collins, Granddaughter, Erika and Zach Murphy and his great-grand daughter, Ava Murphy.

 Bobby was a beloved brother-in-law to Maryann and Bobby Wilson, Rhonda and John Schatzschneider and Jimmy and Linda Messick.  Bobby is also survived by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly. 

 A viewing for Bobby will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5-7pm at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy.  Harrington, DE  19952. A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 1:00PM, at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, DE.
