Patricia Burlew

Patricia Burlew of Harrington passed away January 12, 2016 at Delaware Hospice at the age of 72.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Mosby.

Mrs. Burlew held various jobs through the years.  She was a home-maker and child sitter while raising her three boys.  She worked for over 12 years as a travel agent in Oregon and Delaware when she moved. She worked the most recent at A. Little Veterinary Clinic and Peebles department store in Milford.

Mrs. Burlew was a great mother, a great friend, and a caring person. She loved to read, she enjoyed the beach, and she had a lot of favorite TV shows she watched. She was an avid animal lover with a sense of humor all her own, one of her favorite expressions was “Lucky Me”.  Mrs. Burlew often inspired her “kiddos” to travel and live their dreams. She cherished the friendships she was able to continue after she moved from Oregon to Delaware, and the new ones she made in Delaware. She loved the fact that Facebook allowed her to reconnect with people she had lost touch with over the years.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by all.

Mrs. Burlew is preceded in death not only by her parents but her husband, David Burlew; sisters Kathleen Mosby and Deborah Cook.

Mrs. Burlew is survived by three sons: Jeff (Tonya) Burlew of Oregon City, Oregon, Adam Burlew of Harrington, and Jason Burlew of Harrington; grandson Tyler Burlew; and a sister Faith Frink of Georgetown, NY.

Memorial Services will be Friday, January 22, 2016, at   Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 2pm.  A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior.

Donations can be made in Mrs. Burlew’s honor to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
