Michael "Mike" Cerasaro, FELTON, passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2022, he was 67. He was born to the late, Michael N. Cerasaro and Jeanette C. Wolfe of Pennsylvania.
Mike was raised in Linwood, PA where he graduated from Chichester High School in 1972. He was an honor student and athlete, playing both baseball and football for independent leagues. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 20 years as a jet engine mechanic. In the early years of his military career, he also worked various part time jobs to support his growing family which included 9 years with Sears as an auto mechanic. While in the service, he was stationed in Dover, DE, Okinawa, Japan and Tacoma, WA, and travelled all over the world to places such as Guam, The Philippines, Germany, Italy, Thailand, England, Egypt and Bahrain. After retiring from the Air Force in 1992, he settled with his family in Delaware, working for Metal Masters and Dentsply Caulk as a machine operator before ending his professional career in 2012.
Mike will be remembered most for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, quick wit, and compassionate heart. He lit up the room with his encyclopedia of jokes and made everyone he ever met feel like family, giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need. An avid auto and sports enthusiast (loyal to Ford until the end) he loved NASCAR, boxing, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was a movie buff with an incredible memory bank, able to recite lines from every movie he watched over the course of his life, and was a devout Elvis fan. He was meticulously organized and an impeccable dresser, taking great pride in caring for everything he owned. He truly loved his family and friends deeply, visiting them often. The warm energy he exuded and everlasting impression he made on all those who knew him and loved him will forever be missed.
He is survived by his wife and life partner of 53 years, Patty, who he loved more than life itself; daughters, Anita, Angela, and Annette; son in law, Duane who he treated as his own son; grandchildren, Michaela, Jacob and Aubrey; great granddaughter, Rowen; 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
