Michael Pearce, Sr

Michael “Mike” Pearce, Sr., of Harrington, peacefully passed on April 1, 2023 at home with his family by his side, at the age of 79.  He is the son of the late George and Dorothy Pearce.

Mike proudly served in the US Army Reserves.  After serving, he spent his life as an electrician, retiring from Windsor Electric after 30 years of service.

Mike was an easy going, simple man, who enjoyed cutting grass, attending car shows, and talking to other people.  His favorite car was a classic Cadillac. 

Mike loved square dancing, was a member of the Levi’s and Lace, and Pine Steppers with his wife, Dee. Mike was a former member of the American Legion CKRT Post 7, Harrington Moose Lodge, and Del-Rods car club. 

Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dee Pearce; sons, Michael Pearce Jr (Joyce) and Bob Pearce (Laurie Bednarek); grandchildren, Erin Pearce and Chelsea Cain (Kevin Morris) and two great grandchildren, Haily and Braxton.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. Dupont Hwy. Harrington, DE at 4 PM.  A viewing will take place two hours prior, starting at 2 pm.
