James Allen, Jr. Obituary

James S. Allen, Jr., of Harrington, passed away at Bayhealth Sussex Campus on Thursday, June 04, 2020, at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Mayolia and James Allen Sr.

James retired from Delaware Electric Co-op as a line man.

James was an outgoing person who liked to be center of the party. He had a passion for golfing and family events where he loved to tease his family. James had a strong work ethic but was still a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his son, S. Socrates Allen and sister, Blanche Woodward.

James is survived by his loving wife, Chiquita Allen; daughter, Shirley Holstein; son, Byron Allen; grandchildren, Eriq Boyd, Brooklyn Nash and Aniyah Allen; sisters, Mable Conway, Mayola Clark and Elva Allen.

James was laid to rest in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro Delaware, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
