Howard E. Brown II

February 11, 2022

Howard E. Brown II, Harrington, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022, from Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, he was 72.  Mr. Brown was born in Milford, DE to the late, Howard E. and Iris Brown.
Mr. Brown graduated from Harrington High School, class of 1968.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army and was deployed in both Vietnam and Cambodia.  By trade, Mr. Brown was a blacksmith and a taxidermist.  He was a hard worker, and very talented in what he did, and was sought after by many.  Customers flocked to him and he always had an open door policy and many customers just came to hang out and shoot the breeze.
Mr. Brown was an avid passionate hunter, whether it was deer, duck, squirrel, no matter, he hunted it.  Oftentimes, after a hunt, he did his magic through taxidermy and his animals came out looking absolutely perfect.  Mr. Brown also enjoyed going to auctions and looking for decoys, reading about history especially sports history, going to horse races, fishing and skeet shooting. Every weekday, he enjoyed lunch with his friends at the Williamsville store.  He was a local baseball fan and not only coached local little league but served as an umpire as well.
Mr. Brown was a no nonsense type of guy who could be direct at times, but at least you knew where you stood with him.  Even though he could be direct, he had a heart of gold and especially had a soft spot for his grandchildren, always kidding around with them.  He loved his family dearly, and will be missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Brown was a member of the American Legion - where he was past commander, Ducks Unlimited - where he was local President, Harrington High School Alumni Assoc. - where he was past President, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonnie Brown; daughters, Kelly Clarke (Aaron), and Stephanie McGuire; brother, John Brown (Linda); grandchildren, Hunter McGuire, Makenzie Dee, Jake Dee, Kylie McGuire, Jocelyn Clarke.
There will not be services for Mr. Brown per his request.
