Ezekiel "Zeke" Hall Obituary

Ezekiel "Zeke" Hall, Camden-Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, he was 16 years old.

Zeke recently completed the 10th grade at the Caesar Rodney High School.  He looked forward to joining the ROTC program, and hoped to join the military when he graduated.  In school, Zeke enjoyed being on the football team and playing football with his buddies.  As a youngster, Zeke enjoyed riding BMX bikes, his 4 wheeler, skate boarding, and playing dodge ball at church.  In recent years, he enjoyed working on his dirt bike, playing video games especially GTA and Resident Evil, playing with his dogs, and working on his newly acquired truck, which he nicknamed "Betty White".  When he put his mind to it, Zeke could fix pretty much anything.

Like any normal teenager, Zeke had countless friends that he enjoyed spending time with, whether it was fishing, bonfires, or just hanging out.  People always seemed to gravitate to Zeke because of his humble and thoughtful personality.  He would do anything for his friends and loved them dearly, and since he had so many, he also had many "adopted moms" who looked after him.

Zeke also had a love for his family and was very protective of them.  He was consider an "old soul" with his approach to life, which was evident in his love of Frank Sinatra.  He was always loving, caring, thoughtful, and always ready with a prank, joke, or a laugh.  He had a special smirk and laugh that will forever be etched in the hearts of his friends and family. Along with his brother Isaac, they both accepted the Lord and were saved in 2012, and Zeke was looking forward to going back to church once restrictions were lifted from Covid.  He touched many lives through his humble, caring, and loving nature and will be sadly missed.

Zeke is preceded in death by his mother, Christine M. Sheddy; uncle, Michael Keesser; and great grandparents, Richard & Margaret Keesser.

He is survived by his grandparents, who raised him as a son, Steve and Lynn Dodenhoff; sister, Haylie Lynch (Matt); brother, Isaac Hall; grandfather, Clair Sheddy; niece "Cora" his pride and joy; aunt, Jennifer Knapp (Paul) and family; uncle, Jeremy Hunt (Sherri) and family; as well as a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins, including family in England.

A Celebration of Zeke's Life Service will be on Wednesday, June 23, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 1PM.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11AM to 1PM, and interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.  Please dress in casual attire to reflect Zeke's laid back zest for life.
