Clara Dill Obituary

Clara Ann Dill, of Dover, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in California, she was 6 years old.  Clara is the daughter of Kathy A. and Melissa Dill.

Clara was a first grader at Holy Cross School of Dover.  She was an exceptional student who loved going to school.  Even at six years old, she aspired to be a fashion designer.  She loved working on art projects, sewing, crafts with Momma, going swimming, and gymnastics.  She also loved to dress up like Disney Princesses and put on fashion shows.  She looked forward to spa days of getting her nails done, and playing with her friends.

One of her absolute favorite things to do was to plan and throw parties. She would prepare a menu and guest list for every occasion. Clara loved to make and eat bisquick pancakes with Mommy. She was very creative with her cooking. She created "Apple Cars" to serve at parties.

Clara loved her family very much. She had a very special bond with her sister, Katelyn.  They were inseparable, always holding hands, even while they slept.  She was also very close to her Mom Mom. She always had a big smile on her face anytime Mom Mom came over. One of Clara's favorite things to do with her was look at jewelry.

Clara will forever be remembered as a loving, kind, sweet, and smart girl who touched many lives.  She was more mature for her age in the way she thought, felt, and expressed herself.  She was very spiritual and religious for her age and without a doubt experiencing Heaven to its fullest.  She will be deeply missed.  The family would like to express a special thank you to the Holy Cross Community for the countless prayers and support.

Clara is preceded in death by her grandparents, D. Wayne Dill, Dolores Ann and Kenneth W. Lafferty

In addition to her parents, Melissa and Kathy, she is survived by her sister, Katelyn Michele Dill; Grandmother, Michele "Mikey" Dill; Uncles, Michael Dill, Kevin Lafferty; Cousins, Kendall Carpenter, Kadyn Carpenter, Charlotte Lafferty, Russell (Marlene) Dunn, Lori (Jerry) Carpenter; God Mother Renae Guthrie; Great Aunt and Uncle James and Lois Dunn; and many other close family, friends, classmates.
