Beverly Reedy Obituary

Beverly L. Reedy, Harrington, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Hospital of Philadelphia, she was 69.  Beverly was born in Milford, DE to the late, Marie Louise and James L. "Jimmy" Reedy Sr.

Beverly's first job was as a sales person at the Ames Department Store in Milford.  She quickly moved up into working in their office.  She then went to work and retired from L.D. Caulk Co., where she worked in human resources.

Beverly's pride and joy was her 1967 Pontiac Firebird which was completely restored and in pristine shape.  She enjoyed trailering the car to car shows across the country.  She received multiple awards, trophies, and it was even featured in magazines.  She also owned and showed her 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.  She belonged to the P.O.C.I., Pontiac Oakland Club International, and was treasurer of the Delmarva chapter of P.O.C.I.  Beverly also belonged to the Good Guys club in Dover, and was a member of the Travis Tritt fan club.

When she was not busy at a car show, Beverly enjoyed being on the water.  She liked to go crabbing and owned several boats, and really liked going out on her jet ski.  She enjoyed collecting M&M collectibles and was always looking to add to her collection.  She loved animals and her dogs, Chewbacca, Chris, and Phoenix were like children to her.  Beverly will be remembered as very independent, kind hearted, always sweet and very compassionate.  She donated to multiple charities and was always quick to help others.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her fiancé, Carson Gunter; sister, Rachelle (Dane) Hitchens; James "Jim" (Pamela) Reedy, Jr.; nieces, Tara (Joe Neil) Reedy, Jennifer M. (Joe Draper) Callaway; nephews, Jonathan (Jennifer L.) Callaway, Aaron (Kelly Kantner) Hitchens, Jordan (Megan) Hitchens; great nieces and nephews, Carrie Callaway, Evan Callaway, Henson Hitchens, Evie Hitchens.
