Yvonne M Parsons

Yvonne M Parsons, 52, of Harrington, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.  She was the only daughter of Robert and Jeannie Shahan.

Yvonne was a 1988 graduate of Lake Forest High School. She spent 30 years working in the banking industry and was the owner of standardbred race horses.

Yvonne liked to go to the race track to watch her horses race. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and watching soap operas, especially the Young and the Restless. But more than anything, Yvonne loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Michael James Parsons, and her grandparents Rose and James.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley Parsons (Ryan); son, Michael J. “Jimmy” Parsons, Jr.; grandchildren, Bernadette, Amelia, Logan, and Payton; cousin Stacey Janvier who helped care for her; a large extended family, and her dog, Molly.

A Celebration of Life service the celebration of life Friday March 3rd from 6 to 8 pm at the Harrington Fire Company, 20 Clark St., Harrington DE.
