Willa Mae "Miss Billie" Kimmey, of Harrington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from the Genesis - Milford Center. She was 90. Mrs. Kimmey was born to the late David and Edna Mae Bradley.
Mrs. Kimmey worked the assembly line at ILC of Frederica. She attended, and was the last surviving charter member of the Harrington Baptist Church, where she was very active. She performed missionary work for many years, and even travelled to Ecuador. She exhibited a loving, caring, and giving nature all of her life and always put others needs before her own. She will be sadly missed.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Donovan, Ellen Wilson, Virginia Brown, Florence Larimore, Betty Layton, Marie Layton, and Ruth Wimbrow.
She is survived by her daughters, Vivian (Bob) Watkins of Houston, Debra (Jack) Andrews of Harrington, and Jackye (Daniel) Tisdell; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of her life service will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 1 PM. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harrington Baptist Church, 111 East Liberty Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
