Warren R. Welch

Warren R. Welch, Harrington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Country Rest Home of Greenwood, he was 81.  Mr. Welch was born in Milford, DE to the late Margaret and Raymond Welch Sr.

Mr. Welch left school in the 8th grade to work on the family farm and remained there to reside all of his life.  As a young man, he became a bread salesman, starting at Bond Bread, but eventually working for the Schmidt Baking Co. where he retired after 33 years.

Mr. Welch loved to hunt, fish, and work on old tractors.  He also enjoyed riding horses, watching boxing, and playing pranks on family and friends.  Although he could be a jokester, he was set in his ways, and had a special way to show how much he cared.  He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Welch Jr., Dolores Evans, and Gladys Anne Farrow.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen R. (Karen) Welch, Jeffrey Lee (Angela) Welch, Travis J. (Wendi) Welch; grandchildren, Tanner, Ryleigh, Trenton; and a sister, Clara Todd.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
