Veronica Sue Kopelen of Milford passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the Bayhealth-Sussex Campus, she was 57. She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Catherine Hunter and Earl Ron Gearhart.
Veronica worked for the Polaris Healthcare and Rehab facility as an executive assistant for the past 3 years. Some of her favorite activities included crocheting, scrapbooking, and listening to old time country music. Her family appointed her the Queen of Arts and Crafts, something she enjoyed doing. She was always there to support her husband and children, and once the grandchildren came along, they became her world and she looked forward to spoiling them. Her smile and laugh will forever be cherished and remembered as well as her bright and cheery personality. She cared about everybody, even if she did not know them.
Veronica was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534, Harrington American Legion Post #7, and the American Legion Milford Post 3 Auxiliary where she served as Past President.
