SARASOTA, Fla. — Vera B. Freck of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Delaware, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Florida. She was 94.
She was the daughter of the late Archie and Margaret Dagg. Mrs. Freck worked in quality control for Playtex for many years. She was a cashier at Peoples Restaurant in Harrington for quite a while.
She enjoyed dancing, crotcheting, and embroidery work. She also enjoyed playing the guitar and dobo. She was a big music fan and loved to listen to music.
Mrs. Freck was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church of Frederica. She was also a longtime member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534, Chapter 1229.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Freck; son, Robert E. Freck; daughters, Patricia E. Workman and Lorena Blair; great grandchild, Kimberly Myers; brothers, Earl, Graham, and Douglas Dagg; and sisters, Mae Carr, Hilda Donovan, Mabel DuBree.
She is survived by her son, Richard P. Freck of Florida; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Camden Odd Fellows Cemetery.
