Thomas Raymond Carroll of Lewes, DE, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at his home. He was 49.
Mr. Carroll worked as a purchasing agent for Seawatch for over 23 years, and was part owner of Harrington Appliance.
A family man that always put his family first, Mr. Carroll adored his mom, enjoyed gatherings with his brothers, and spent as much time as he could with his grandkids. He is described as "always having a smile", very outgoing, well liked, and enjoyed making people laugh.
Mr, Carroll enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Mark Martin. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, and a former member of the Harrington Moose.
He will be sadly missed by his close family and countless friends.
He is survived, in addition to his parents, Beverly and Richard Merchant of Harrington; daughter, Linda (Jeremy) Minner of Frederica; step-Son, Robert Lankford, Jr.; fiance, Mary Plummer of Lewes; grandchildren, Robert Lankford III, Rebecca Lankford, Katie Lankford, Andrew Minner, Karis Minner, siblings, Wayne Carroll (Sheila Squier) of Harrington, Jeff (Marty) Carroll of Richmond, VA, Robert "Bob" Carroll (Stacey) of Marydel MD, and Rick (Julie) Merchant of Harrington.
Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2pm, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy. Harrington.
