Terry W. Timmons Sr., passed away on Monday May 9, 2016 from his home surrounded by his loving family, he was 56. Terry was born in Lewes, DE.
Terry served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp until he was honorably discharged due to medical reasons. Terry was a proud truck driver. He loved trucking and being his own boss. When he was not hard at work, he loved to go fishing. He also liked to collect model tractor trailer memorabilia. Best of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved being around his kids and grandkids, and loved sharing a good meal with them, especially if its his wife's dumplings.
Terry truly loved his family. He loved to talk and could make friends with anyone. He was always warm and kind to everyone he met. He was outspoken at times, but his sense of humor always made you laugh. He will be sorely missed.
Terry is predeceased by his father, Francis E. Timmons; mother, Laura M. Blades; brother, Francis E. "Tim" Timmons Jr.; and his stepfather, Phillip "Pee Wee" Townsend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Timmons of Houston; daughter, Shelly (Shane) Kincade of Dover; sons, Terry W. Timmons, Jr. of Harrington, Stewart Timmons of Harrington; brothers, Mark (Joann) Hammond of Dagsboro, Frank (Bonny) Timmons of Berlin, MD, William (Tina) Timmons of Millsboro; sisters, Sandra Jean (Rick) Martinez of Frankford, Susan (Ricky Hammond) Townsend of Millsboro, Crystal (Brandon) Underwood of Greenwood; grandchildren, Joshua Kincade, Brei Timmons, Lauren Timmons, Aiyanno Timmons; stepmother, Sandra (Robert) Rockwell; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11am with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations made payable to Melvin Funeral Home are encouraged to help with funeral expenses.
