Shirley V. Tessicini

Shirley Tessicini, of Harrington, DE, passed away at Bayhealth Sussex Campus, on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the age of 73.  She was the daughter of the late George and Maryland Usilton.

Shirley worked in the Fort Meade Officers Club as a banquet waitress for over 35 years.  She was a lifetime member of the national VFW.

Shirley was an outgoing person who was easy to please.  She took great joy in tending her flower garden, vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC and was addicted to QVC shopping.  Shirley loved the holidays when she could spend time with her family.  She created quite a display every year with her Christmas lights and decorations.  Shirley was a peacemaker who deeply loved her family and spending time with her friends.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Paul Tessicini Sr.; daughter, Patty Cartagena-Santiago (Hector); son, Paul Tessicini Jr; grandchildren, Ashely Hoban (Pat), Michael Tessicini, and Lauren Barron (Giovanni); great grandchildren, Jasmine, Sean, Aiden, and Kaylee; brothers, George Usilton, Jr and Richard Usilton; sister, Wanda Jean Torres; and many friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will take on Sept. 18, 2021 from 12 pm – 4pm at Rudy’s Family Restaurant, 17064 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington DE.
