Shawn Michael Hopkins of Harrington, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013, he was 27. Shawn was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 2003. Shawn held several jobs over the years including jobs at restaurants, sales jobs, but he was currently enrolled at the Harris School of Business as a massage therapist student. However, Shawn was currently still recovering from a head on auto accident in June that left him with severe pain, nerve damage, and internal injuries.
Shawn was an avid Ravens fans, enjoyed fishing of all types, especially bass fishing, and enjoyed making crafts. He loved to braid paracord and leather bracelets, pet leashes, crosses, and other trinkets. He will be remembered as having a great sense of humor who always loved to crack jokes and get one over on his brothers. He was truly one of a kind and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his mother, Kathi (James) Morgan of Frederick, MD; brothers, Norris Hopkins of Frederick, MD, Joseph Hopkins of Frederick, MD; maternal grandmother, Lois Hopkins of Harrington. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, James Leon Hopkins.
Graveside Service will be Monday, December 16, 2013, at 1 PM, at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
