Sean J Dare

Sean J. Dare, of Felton, passed away at home, on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at the age of 61.  He was the son of the late Charlotte and James Dare, Sr.

Sean was not afraid to work, he liked to stay busy, and never sat still.  He worked for many years as a machine operator at CT Films, co- owned Jennifer’s restaurant in downtown Harrington with his wife Kitty and most recently, he was working at Royal Farms where he enjoyed talking with his daily customers.

Sean liked to have a good time, joke around, and make others laugh.  He loved being around his family, being outdoors where he often took his grandson, Cameron four- wheeling and fishing.  Sean would do anything for anyone.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Sean is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Dare; son, Dustin Dare; nephew, Nicholas Dare; and brother, James Dare.

Sean is survived by his son, Ryan Dare, daughter in law Kelsey Smith; grandchildren, Cameron and Everleigh Dare; siblings, Patrick Dare, Michael Dare, Francis Dare, Kelly Dare, Brian Dare, Theresa Walters, and Sharon Marple; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 11 AM.  A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 10 AM.
