Harrington, 87 HOUSTON - Sarah Elizabeth Harrington of Houston passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at home. She was 87. She was the daughter of the late George Vincent and Alice Harrington.

Mrs. Harrington was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. She worked for over 40 years at the Atena Shirt Company in Harrington. When Atena closed she worked five years for Ginger Peachy. While working at Atena she also started making special occasion cakes for family and friends.

Mrs. Harrington enjoyed NASCAR racing with Dale Earnhart being her favorite. She enjoyed working in her gardens and tending her roses. Mrs. Harrington was a very outgoing person, good to everyone and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harrington; brother, Johnny Vincent; sisters, Helen Coleman and Evelyn Kinney; and great granddaughter, Peyton Ratledge.

She is survived by her brother, Elbert Harrington Jr., of Felton; son, W. Eddie Vincent of Houston; daughter, Shirley (Albert) Ratledge of Harrington; grandsons, George (Crystal) Vincent of Houston, Eric Ratledge of Lewes, Jason (Jessica) Ratledge of Houston; and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m.., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
