FELTON — Sandra M. Rogers passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Blanche Jefferson.
Mrs. Rogers was a manager of the cafeteria at ILC of Frederica for over 9 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. She was a great cook and loved to bake. She was well known for her peanut butter and coconut eggs, her family and friends could not wait to get some. Mrs. Rogers also enjoyed dolphin watching on boats and spending time with her family. She
was all about her kids and grandkids, and loved every moment with them. She had an easy going nature about her along with a great sense of humor. She got along with everyone and did whatever she could to help others, even if it meant forsaking her own needs. She will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John “Eddie” Jefferson and Harold Jefferson; and sister, Diane Walls.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Gordon L. Rogers of Felton; son, Brock A. Rogers of Milford; daughters, Holly Reynolds (Mike) of Lewes, Hope Rogers of Felton, Paula Green of Felton; brothers, Elmer “Martin” and Jody Jefferson of Houston, Sydney and Barbara Jefferson of Harrington; sisters, Barbara and Wayne Walters of Delmar, Md., Libby and Buster Walls of Milford, Kathy and Butch Weaver of Viola, Betty and Ralph Walls of Frederica; 12 grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 18, 2014 at 7 p.m., at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
