Ronald "Jr" Elko

Ronald “JR” L. Elko, Jr., of Harrington, DE, passed away at home, on July 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.  He was the son of Roberta Elko.

JR worked for Advanced Power Control in various positions for over 25 years before finishing his years as a sales engineer with Smart Building Technologies.

Growing up on the water of Elk River, JR loved to be in or near the water including boating with his family and friends in the Chesapeake Bay.  He loved spending time with his sons, Chris and Ben.  Together they enjoyed trying and cooking many different cultural cuisines.  JR had a love of movies, his favorite genres being Action, Comedy and Science Fiction. He was a funny, charismatic, hardworking man who could do any home project whether it would be drywall, electrical or plumbing. He will be dearly missed.

JR is preceded in death by his brother, John Elko.

In addition to his mother, Roberta Elko, JR is survived by his sons, Chris and Ben Elko; brother, Rick Elko (Donna); sister, Kristin Anthony (Daryl); mother of his children and friend, Cindy Elko; companion, Tami Tomlinson.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 16th at 5PM at the Crossfire Christian Church located at 1655 Otts Chapel Rd, Newark, DE 19702.

A Reception following the service will take place at The Cecil Woods Club House located at 1801 W Pulaski Hwy, Elkton, MD 21921.
