Robin J. Rentz

d. January 7, 2015

Robin J. Rentz, of Frederica, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Beebe Hospital, Lewes.  He was 53.  Mr. Rentz was born to the  late Carl and Naomi Rentz.

Mr. Rentz worked in maintenance as a carpenter for ILC of Frederica, for over 15 years.  He was a hard worker and loved to work.  In the 15 years with ILC, he had perfect attendance, and never called out a day in his life.  Mr. Rentz was a life member of the Frederica Volunteer Fire Company.

He enjoyed the simpler things in life like friends and family. He did not even own a television.  He loved to hunt, fish, drink beer, and his dogs.  He enjoyed collecting old glass bottles.  Mr. Rentz had great pleasure in giving his friends, family, and neighbors fresh vegetables from his garden which he loved to tend.  He wasn’t much of a talker, but if you were his friend, you were a friend for life.  He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his son, Robin Andino of Camden; daughter, Rebecca Andino of Smyrna; brothers, Joe Rentz of Frederica, Steve Rentz of Frederica; sister, Cindy Porter of Harrington; 2 grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jasmine.

Services will take place Friday, January 16, 2015, at 1 pm, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.  Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to: Frederica Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 283, Frederica, DE 19946.
