Raymond R. Baldwin, 68

FELTON — Raymond R. Baldwin passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Hospice Center, Milford. He was born to the late, Raymond S. and Helen Baldwin.

Mr. Baldwin served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Cuban missile crisis. He served on a submarine and tracked Russian subs from Cuba to North Carolina.

Mr. Baldwin was a truck driver most of his life. He drove a truck for Mountaire Farms as well as other companies. Mr. Baldwin, and his wife Debbie, had a band for over 10 years called High Tide, and he was the lead singer. He enjoyed singing tremendously. He will be remembered as a laid back person. His favorite saying was, “Don’t worry about it.” He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Baldwin of Felton; daughters, Lori Raye Baldwin of Felton, Michelle R. Zidanic of Bridgeville, Lisa D. Salevan of Milford, Dawn B. Chambers of Magnolia, Tami Gerardi of Harrington; sister, Carol Tucker of Bridgeville; mother in law, Glenna M. Thompson of Felton, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A service will be held Jan. 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
