Ray M. Gamido

d. January 23, 2014

Ray M. Gamido, of Harrington, passed away on  Thursday, January 23, 2014, at the  Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD.  He was 64.  Mr. Gamido was born to the late John A. and Gladys Hopkins Gamido.

Mr. Gamido recently retired as a milk truck delivery driver for LeHigh Valley Dairy of Harrington.  He was such a hard and dedicated worker, that he never called in a sick day in his life.  He had such a strong work ethic to provide for his family.  During his free time, he enjoyed skiing, golfing, and shopping.  He looked forward to his vacations and loved to travel.  He travelled all over the United States, Hawaii, and even the Caribbean.

He will be remembered as a strong dynamic family man who adored his wife and children and cherished his grandchildren.  He passed along his strong work ethic to his children.  He enjoyed spending time with his family every chance he got.  Although he had a strong will, he was very sociable and outgoing.  He made friends easily and was never afraid to strike up a conversation to total strangers.  He was always looking out for others, and his loving and caring nature will be sorely missed by his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Wilma Jean Gamido of Harrington; sons and daughter in law, Adam A. Gamido of Harrington, Aaron J. (Kristen) Gamido of Aberdeen, MD; daughters and sons in law, Cindy (James) McClain of Georgetown, Candy (Matthew) Muldowney of Newark; and 5 grandchildren.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 AM, at  the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Rd., Rehoboth, DE.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
