Philip J. McClister, of Harrington, passed away on February 2, 2026 at home with his wife by his side. He was the son of the late William and Catherine McClister.
Philip’s life revolved around farming. He loved his wife, Sharon “with all his heart” and together they enjoyed going to Daytona Beach during Bike week with his motorcycle each year. Philip was a happy go lucky man who enjoyed relaxing at home watching the Maury talk show. He enjoyed watching football, Dallas Cowboys or New England Patriots but he hated the Philadelphia Eagles. Philip hardly ever had a quarrel with anyone nor did he hold grudges. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Philip is preceded by his first wife, Mary McClister, sons, Alan and Michael McClister.
Philip is survived by his loving wife, Sharon McClister; sons, William “Billy” McClister, David McClister (Lynn), Glenn McClister (Patty), and Gary McClister; step-daughter, Stacey Ferrell (Robert); brother, Stanley McClister; 14 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, and 24 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Bethel Worship Center, 26648 Sussex Hwy., Seaford DE on February 21, 2026 at 1 PM.
