Patricia E. Passwaters, 83
HARRINGTON — Patricia E. Passwaters, from Vineland, N.J., formerly of Harrington, daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Thomas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at her daughters home.
Mrs. Passwaters was a homemaker. In her younger days, she was a seamstress and loved to sew. She loved making kids clothes and curtains. She also loved to tend to her garden.
Mrs. Passwaters was a member of the Lebanon Wesleyan Church. She was very active in the church especially in the missions and food bank programs. She loved to collect pennies for missions and help out in any way possible. She held a very deep belief in her God, knowing He always took care of her in every aspect of her life. Her favorite thing in this world was taking care of her family and others, and had a heart of a saint. She loved to socialize, made friends easily, and could talk to anybody. Her great sense of humor and compassion will forever be missed.
Preceded in death by: husband, Rev. John P. Passwaters, Sr.; son, John P. Passwaters Jr.; daughter, Diana Quinones; brothers, Stanley J. and George Mansfield; sisters, Irene Sedgwich and Charlotte Brooks.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine F. Wright of Vineland, N.J.; sisters, Cordelia LeGates of Georgetown, Sally Smith of Milford, and Mary Ann Kelly of Preston, Md.; ten grandchildren and
22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
