Patricia Mary LeCates, 1 month, of Seaford, Delaware, was born March 23,2011 to Samuel E. LeCates, Sr. and Stephanie (Wheeler) LeCates. Patricia had been a patient of A. I. DuPont since her birth. Patricia went to be with her Lord on April 23, 2011 surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her brother Samuel E. LeCates, Jr. Her maternal grand parents Joanna Pearson (and husband John) of Lincoln, DE and Ernest Wheeler and friend Toni of Smyrna, DE. Paternal grand parents Rev. Everett L. “Bunky’ LeCates, Jr. (and wife Genece). Maternal great grand parents Fredrick Tryon (and wife Mary). Paternal great grand parents Samuel E. Powell, Sr. and friend Betty Caudill, Everett L. LeCates, Sr., Doris L. Legates (and husband John). Aunts Emily Pearson, Janie Miller, Sherri LeCates. Uncles: Ron Tryon, Ray Miller, Jeffrey LeCates as well as many cousins.
She was preceded by her name sake Patricia I. Powell (April 23, 2001), and Uncle Samuel E. Powell, Jr. (October 14, 2010)
A celebration of life service highlighting the precious life that touched so many lives and taught that God’s love is unconditional and gives testimony to life being a miracle will be given by Rev. Jerry Howard. He will share a message of the livelihood of the Easter promise and moments of life eternal.
Celebration of Life Services for Patricia Mary LeCates Services will take place Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Melvin's Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Highway Harrington, DE 19952, at 1 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Internment will be at St. Johnstown UMC in Greenwood, DE.
Instead of flowers the family request donations to be sent to Melvin's to help defray cost.
