Panagiota Kelidis, Ridgely, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at her home with her family by her side, she was 80. She was the daughter of the late Dimitrios and Elpiniki Karkoulis.
Mrs. Kelidis was a homemaker and loved her family more than anything. She was a natural caregiver, always going above and beyond to put others ahead of herself, and making sure everyone was well and also fed. Mrs. Kelidis was the best wife, mother, and grandmother, who was compassionate, caring, understanding, non-judgmental, patient but also a little feisty. Her children and grandchildren were truly her life. When she wasn’t looking after others, Mrs. Kelidis enjoyed gardening, cooking, and knitting. She loved her native country Greece and her extended family there. She was very proud of the restaurant in Ridgely that her family owned, and she missed it very much after it was sold.
Mrs. Kelidis held a strong faith and attended Sts. Constantine and Helen Antiochian Orthodox Church in Annapolis, Maryland, or watched online when she couldn’t attend in person.
Mrs, Kelidis is survived by her children, SavaS Kelidis (Tracy) and Voula Economides (Andreas); grandchildren, Nicole Economides, Panagiota Economides, Christina Economides, Hara Economides, Andreas Economides, Colin Kelidis, Nolan Kelidis, SavaS Kelidis, and Tracy Kelidis; brothers, George Karkoulis, Nickolaos Karkoulis; sister, Haris Karkoulis; and extended family.
