Noah A. Tharp II, Milford, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from the Life Care at Lofland Park, Seaford, he was 90.  Mr. Tharp was born in Texas to the late, Noah and Edna Tharp.

Mr. Tharp was a contractor who was a master craftsman and enjoyed working with wood.  He built many homes over the years, including his own.  He also enjoyed building boats, canoes, and kayaks, and carving ducks.  When he was younger, he played the trumpet in the Salvation Army, where he met his wife Bette.

Mr. Tharp was very active in missions.  He went on 23 missions trips in his life to help build churches in other countries.  He was also active in many work and witness trips through church.  He truly had a servants heart, was a man of God, and would do anything for anybody.  He attended the Milford Church of the Nazarene, and most recently, the Frederica Baptist Church.

In his spare time, he liked to play bingo, card games, and activities through the senior center.  He was involved with both the Milford and Frederica Senior Center, and took care of all the knife sharpening at the Frederica Senior Center.  Mr. Tharp truly enjoyed being around his friends and family.  He never met a stranger and could talk to anybody.  He was a great story teller and loved to tell his stories.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Bette Tharp; daughter in law, Anna Tharp; siblings, Bob Tharp and Mabel Bell.

He is survived by his children, Rev. Noah (Linda) Tharp III, Christopher (Lori) Tharp, Rev. David (Cindi)  Tharp, Bette Ann (Rev. Steve)  Logsdon; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Tharp will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at 2 PM.  A public visitation will start at 1 PM.
