Mary Rose Steen

GREENWOOD — Mary Steen passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mamie Dion.

Mary spent her life taking care of family which she loved.

Mary was a very giving person who volunteered at the Modern Maturity Center, and donated home-made crafts to the Cancer Center at Milford.  She was an outgoing, social person who enjoyed her weekly trips to Milford Walmart, going to the Cheer Center in Greenwood, and Easter Seals in Georgetown. Mary enjoyed watching the New England Patriots.

Mary is survived by her son, Edward J. Steen (Crystal); daughters, Mary Steen, Nadine Pierpont (Ron), and Maxine Foy (Jaime); eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at 12 p.m. Interment will take place immediately after the funeral at the Burrsville Cemetery, Burrsvile, Md. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the funeral home on one hour prior to the service.
