Martha Mae Johnson

Martha Mae Johnson, 94, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Bayhealth Kent General hospital.  She was the daughter of the late William and Martha Cooper.  She was preceded in death by her close companion of 33 years, Edgar Souva.

After graduating from Felton High School, she worked at Playtex for 4 years followed by 32 years of service at San-Del Packing Co where she retired in 1991.  Her hobbies included embroidery, latch hook, puzzles, and reading.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Sharon Harvey, Billie Motter (Dale), Bonnie DeMora (Dan), and June Sieminski; 7 grandsons, William and Brandon Moore, Jeffrey Motter, Danny and Jason DeMora, and Ryan and Tyler Sieminski; 1 granddaughter, Tammy McNamire (Chris), 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 1 PM.  A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 12 Noon. Interment will follow immediately after at Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
