Margaret "Peggy" Stevens

d. December 22, 2012

'Peggy' Stevens HARRINGTON - Margaret J. 'Peggy' Stevens passed away Dec. 22, 2012 in Magnolia, DE.  She was born in Washington, DC to the late Albert and Margaret Beach.

Peggy was a member of the American Legion and AARP.

Her hobbies included sewing, playing shuffleboard, shooting pool and redecorating her home. She especially liked to go to yard-sales. Peggy's family was her first priority; she loved spending time with each and every one of them. She was always there for them no matter what. She was a giving person, if you needed anything and she had it, she would give it to you.

Peggy was known for her laugh, smiling face and joke telling. Everyone that knew her loved her. She had such a friendly attitude, and took people as they were, she was never judgmental but could tell you what she thought. When she broke her leg the nurses all gave her the name of "Sassy Pants". Peggy will be greatly missed by everyone for her love and joy of life.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, William, Robert and LeRoy Beach; sisters: Betty Feather and Marry Harrison; and granddaughter: Jennifer Bogan.

She is survived by her one and only daughter, Marsha Roach Mitchell of Harrington; sons, Frank A. Plummer of Houston, Allen Plummer of Frederica, James A Plummer of Greenwood, Todd Plummer of Harrington and Joseph Roach (Peggy's baby) of Magnolia; grandchildren, Richard Roach, Craig and Joshua Mitchell, Alex and Sean Smallwood, Todd, Mike, Ryan, Jay, and AJ Plummer, Kristin Bogan, Amy and Frankie Plummer and Tera Minetello; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Robinson.

A Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 1 p.m., at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
