Margaret "Peggy" Govoni

Margaret “Peggy” Govoni, 83, Felton, passed away on October 26, 2024 at home with her family. She was the daughter of the late Whiteley and Louise Reed.

Peggy was a homemaker who enjoyed riding along with her husband on over the road trips.  She had been to every state except for two, South Dakota and Hawaii.  Peggy enjoyed playing cards, bingo, antiquing with her cousin Judy, quarter auctions, collecting lighthouses, and talking on the phone. She was known for her sassy attitude, and was well liked by all who met her.

Peggy was a member of the Frederica Senior Center and the Harrington Moose Lodge.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Govoni; son, Paul “PJ” Govoni; siblings, Charles Roy Reed and Janet Jones; and a great grandson, Shawn Dennis.

Peggy is survived by her children, Robert Draper (Suzanne), Anne Draper, Patricia Deputy (Carl), Katrina Martin (Fred), Donald McCloskey, and Paula Walker (James); 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington at 1 PM. A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 12 Noon. Interment will immediately follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
