Marcos A Quiroz

Marcos Quiroz, Frederica, passed away at Christiana Hospital on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the age of 61.  He is the son of Sergio Vaca Cardenas and Estela Quiroz. Marcos was a sales manager for new home construction.  He had a passion for soccer, playing semi-pro with the New York Cosmos when he was younger.  Marcos also had a strong faith which he instilled into his family.  He often attended United Church in Milford.

Marcos was an easy-going “foodie” who enjoyed camping, spending time with family, and traveling with his wife, Tammy.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, sharing his love of motorcycles and bikes with his grandson whom he took to the BMX track.  Marcos enjoyed fast cars whether it was his Porsche when he was younger or a later Honda Type R.  Family was everything to him.

Marcos was known as a jokester who rarely got mad.  He was quick to listen, slow to speak, and often went above and beyond to help others out.  He was well loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Marcos is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tammy Quiroz; sons, Andrew Quiroz (Emily) and Anthony Quiroz; grandchildren, Lucas and Abigail Quiroz; and extended family.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 12 Noon at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc at 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE.  A visitation will take place one hour prior, starting at 11 AM.  Interment will follow immediately after at the Milford Community Cemetery, 850 N DuPont Blvd, Milford, DE.
