M. Janette Reynolds

M. Janette Reynolds, of Felton, DE, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, from the Silver Lake Center, Dover.  She was 87.  She was born to the late Claude and Helen Morris.

Mrs. Reynolds operated a day care center for many years.  She dearly loved her daycare kids, and they called her mom-mom Reynolds.  She also worked for over 20 years at the Bayhealth-Kent General Gift Shop, which she thoroughly enjoyed.  In her spare time, she enjoyed to crotchet.  In her younger days, she loved to help with the dinners at the Felton Fire Company.

Mrs. Reynolds was known for her feisty and stubborn personality.  She always told you like it was, but she had a heart of gold.  She loved to flirt with the guys.  She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.

She was a member of the Felton United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Felton Fire Company Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Conklin; and a brother, Earl Morris.

She is survived by a son, Dennis Conklin of Bellingham, Washington; daughter, Sylvia Kemp of Felton; sister, Hazel Harris of Canterbury; 4 grandchildren, Erica, Tanya, Cindy, Stacy; 4 great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 1 PM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.  Visitation will take place Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.  Interment will be at  Sharon Hills Cemetery, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
