Louise Minner , 90
HARRINGTON — Louise Minner passed away Wed., Feb. 6, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Louise was born to the late James and Maude Lyons.
In her early years, Louise worked side by side with her husband on the farm and milking operation. Louise later went to work for ILC Industries as a seamstress making spacesuits. Louise had the honor of being sent to the Kennedy Space Center to do final spacesuit adjustments for Neil Armstrong, for the first walk on the moon mission. A favorite activity of hers was spending time at the family beach cottage.
Louise was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was a long time member, over 70 years, of Trinity United Methodist Church in Harrington and spent many years helping with dinners and other activities within the church.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Dickie Minner Sr.; grandson, Kenny Baker and granddaughter; Kori Minner.
She is survived by daughters and sons in laws, Sandra Baker, Wanda Gerardi, Brenda Bonniwell (Calvin), Linda McCloskey (John), Debbie Hopkins (Brad); son and daughter in law, Dickie Minner Jr. (Debbie); 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild due on Feb. 13, 2013;
four great-great- grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 1 p.m at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Friends may call between 11:30 to 12:30 p.m at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Delaware Hospice or Trinity Methodist Church.
