FELTON — Linda A. Mears, passed away on Sun., May 3, 2015 from the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Mears was a waitress and worked for over 27 years at the Gateway Restaurant and Truck Stop in Breezewood, Pa. where she met her husband Roger.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and canning her produce. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and working in her flower beds. Going to the beach was also a favorite past time and she loved her dogs Max and Murphy.
She will be remembered as a quiet person who kept to herself, but she had a close circle of friends who were like her second family. Her sweet personality will forever be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Arlene Foor; and a granddaughter, Erin Trowbridge.
Survivors include her husband, Roger E. Mears of Felton; daughters, Rogette Clark of Felton, Lisa (Ronnie) Owens of Williamsburg, Va., Cordelia Collins of Felton; brother, John (Sandy) Foor of Everett, PA; sister, Susan (Randy) Keller of Florida; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Thurs., May 7, 2015, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 2 P.M. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
Flowers are appreciated, but donations may also be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
