Leon Samuel Rebuck

Leon Samuel Rebuck, Felton, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, he was 81.  Mr. Rebuck was born in Lykens, PA to the late, Daniel and Flossie Rebuck.

Mr. Rebuck previously worked as a Circulation Director for the Delaware State News and Chesapeake Publishing, and as a federal express route driver for Fedex Ground.  He happily accepted retirement after working hard for many years.  His favorite statement when anyone asked how he was doing  was, "Another Day in Paradise".

One of his favorite things to do was gardening and working in his yard.  He loved to "putter" around the house, and always told people that he "Was Busy".  He also liked to bike and loved good food.  Mr. Rebuck was very family oriented.  He enjoyed family gatherings of any kind and was involved with everyone's activities and lives.  He loved going to his children and now grandchildren's sporting events.  He especially loved spoiling his grandchildren, and playing games with them at the kitchen table.  He had an ornery side and loved to laugh and share a joke or mischievous activity.  He will be sorely missed by his family and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Elva Gessner, Corrine Welker, Arlene Rothermal, and Paul Rebuck.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Kay I. Rebuck; daughter, Lisa K. Alexander (David); son, Michael Rebuck (Lori); grandchildren, Caitlyn Alexander, Donald Alexander, Chase Rebuck, Carley Rebuck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at 1 PM.  A public visitation will be held starting at 12 noon.  Interment will be at the Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
