LAUREL — Kathleen M. Simpson, of Laurel, passed away Sept. 4, 2011, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was 57.
Mrs. Simpson served her country proudly in the US Army. She worked for a while in the nursing field, but then opened up a computer repair shop, Laptop Rescue, alongside her husband. She worked as a computer technician and enjoyed working on computers. She loved to play computer games, especially Pogo, and also enjoyed baking and knitting.
She will be remembered as a strong person who was set in her ways, but also a giving person who made friends easily. She loved her family dearly, and loved to spoil her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Clark.
She is survived by father, William Clark of Waurika, Okla.; husband of 12 years, Dennis P. Simpson of Laurel; daughters, Jennifer Rieger of Greenwood, and Mary Ducker of Vacaville, Calif.; stepchildren, John Simpson of Harrington, and Megan Chaffinch of Seaford; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where a visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
