John R. ‘Rusty’ Bonnewell, 56
BRIDGEVILLE — John R. “Rusty” Bonnewell of Bridgeville passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was 56.
Mr. Bonnewell served his country proudly in the United States Navy. After his discharge, he went to culinary school to become a chef. He did this for many years before he got into the home construction field, and went to work for Nanticoke Homes for many years. He was known as a jack of all trades and could do just about anything.
His favorite activities included reading, watching Law and Order on TV, and following the Washington Redskins, his favorite team. He enjoyed horsing around with his grandson, Nate, and
he also took care of all the stray neighborhood cats. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother, a true kid at heart himself, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, John R. (Rachel) Bonnewell II of Greenwood; grandson, Nathaniel Bonnewell of Greenwood; mother, Elsie Marie Campbell of Bridgeville; brother, George “Rex” Bonnewell of Wilmington; and sister, Linda Grady of Swartz Creek, Mich.
