HARRINGTON — John H. Rabe passed way on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Milford Hospice Center son of the late Henry F. and Kresezen Rabe.
Mr. Rabe worked in construction building homes. He was a strong hard worker who was not afraid to work. When he was not hard at work, he enjoyed camping. For the past 47 years, he enjoyed traveling in his motor home. They managed to visit every state in the continental US, except Mississippi, and Louisiana. Mr. Rabe was a proud member of the Jersey Pioneers Club.
Mr. Rabe enjoyed being around his friends and family. He will be remembered as a good husband and good father, who always put his family’s needs first. He will be sadly missed.
John is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anne M. Rabe of Harrington; sons, John F. Rabe of Harrington, Robert J. Rabe of Pa., Richard G. Rabe of Harrington, Mark W. Rabe of Oak Ridge, N.J.; brothers, Max Rabe of Blue Jay, Cali., George Rabe of Saddle Brook, N.J.; sisters, Sophie Underwood of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Hilda Inverso of Dundin, Fla.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
