JoAnn Turner, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from the Milford Hospice Center.
JoAnn was a homemaker. She is a graduate from the University of Baltimore where she earned a bachelors in the Arts. She met her husband Gary through the CB radio, which she liked to talk on. Together they had two adorable pets that they loved, a puppy named Lucy, and a parrot named Spanky. One of her favorite activities was reading. When her eyesight got poor she enjoyed listening to audio books that she borrowed from the library. She also enjoyed talking to her other sisters on the phone. She will be remembered as friendly and upbeat and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gary Turner; sisters, Dakota Summers and Ellen F. Patak.
Services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 1 PM, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
