Harrington - Janet Elizabeth Vincent Mullins passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Silver Lake Nursing Center. Janet was the daughter of the late George B. Vincent Jr. and Jane Faulkner Vincent.
Janet was a homemaker. In her younger years, she worked for the Nike Shoe Factory in Maryland, as well as Kent Sussex Industries, and Hardees in Harrington. Her favorite activities were playing bingo and visiting the slots. She was a member and participant of the Harrington Senior Center.
Janet loved to be around people. She enjoyed being involved with family activities and loved visits from family and friends. She was an Elvis Pressley fanatic and loved his music. She looked forward to her birthday party every year as she always had a party. She loved living in Heritage Manor and she was well taken care of there. She will be remembered as quite the character, but one of God's special children. She will be sadly missed.
Preceded in death by brothers, George William Vincent, Donald Burton Vincent, and Kenneth Lee Vincent.
Survivors include brothers, Raymond Faulkner (Winnie) Vincent, of Greenwood, James Edward (Jackie), of Farmington; sister, Helen Vincent (John) Zoch, of Columbia S.C.; cousin, best friend and caregiver, Sandra Vincent Wood; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Harrington Senior Center or the Lake Forest Church Association Food Pantry.
